As Osteopaths are primary practitioners, referral from your GP is not necessary, however today; medical specialists and GPs can refer patients to Osteopaths for up to five osteopathic consultations through the “Enhanced Primary Care” (EPC) program, where Medicare rebates are available. This EPC program has been the result of research evidence and individual confidence in the benefits of Osteopathy.

The highly developed palpation techniques employed by our Osteopaths can help determine conditions that require referral to GPs or other health care professionals.
